Ich finde Berlin faszinierend, weil die Stadt zwar geschichtsträchtig ist, aber auch sonst für jeden etwas bietet. Berlin war die historische Hauptstadt Deutschlands, aber während des zweiten Weltkrieges wurde die Mehrheit der Stadt vollständig zerstört. Dann, nach dem Bau der weltberühmten Berliner Mauer, wurde die Stadt in zwei Teile, die „Ost-Berlin und West-Berlin“ hießen, gerissen.
Heute ist Berlin die politische, kulturelle und akademische Metropole Deutschlands und viele wichtige Rundfunkanstalten haben hier ihren Sitz. Jedes Jahr stömen viele Besucher aus aller Welt dorthin, um die wunderbaren Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt zu besichtigen. So sind zum Beispiel im Jahre zwei-tausand-vier sechs Millionen Leute dorthin gefahren. Berlin ist wirklich eine bekannte Weltstadt.

I would like to speak about Berlin, the most important town in Germany. Berlin is the capital of Germany and its most densely populated town with around 3 million 400 thousand inhabitants. Also after London, Berlin is the second biggest town in the EU. I chose this topic as several years ago I went to this town with my relatives in order to attend a wedding. We spent 3 days there and I really liked it. Because of this great experience, I wanted to do more research about the history and future of this town.
I find Berlin fascinating because it’s steeped in history yet there is still so much going on. Berlin was the historical capital of Germany but during the Second World War the majority of the city was destroyed. Then after the construction of the world famous Berlin wall the town was divided into two parts, which were called “East Germany” and “West Germany”.
Today Berlin is the political, cultural and academic capital of Germany and many important broadcasters have their base here. Every year many visitors from all over the world flood to see the wonderful attractions of the town.

Geschichte Berlins:
Seit vierzehn-hundert-ein-und-fünfzig war Berlin Residenzstadt der brandenburgischen Markgrafen und Kurfürsten.
Dann im 17. Jahrhundert wurde Berlin durch mehrere Vorstädte erweitert. Zum Beispel die Städte Cölln, Friedrichswerder, Dorotheenstadt und Friedrichstadt wurden vereinigt. Später die Krönung Friedrich I. zum König wurde Berlin die preußischen Hauptstadt.
Im sechzehnten Jahrhundert gab es drei Seuchen und viele der Einwohner wurden getötet.
Nach der Machtergreifung der Nationalsozialisten wurde Berlin die Hauptstadt des Dritten Reiches.
Es gab auch Pläne, Berlin zur Welthauptstadt Germania umzubauen aber wegen des Krieges wurden diese Pläne vereitelt.
