We know that reactions usually occur best at an optimum temperature or PH. When particles of any substance collide with particles of any other substance, there will be a reaction, as long as there is enough energy in it. We will use the theory of “More Particles = Easier, Quicker Reaction.” We know that a stronger concentration means more particles of the substance in the same area, so this fact will link with the above statement to help us work out what to assume.

This is the equation we will be considering when doing this experiment:

H2O2 2H2O + O2
Catalase

We know that hydrogen peroxide is broken down by catalase into oxygen and water. We will use this information to do an experiment to investigate how much oxygen is created with different concentrations of hydrogen peroxide.
