... The economic boom was when America was excelling in the 1920s. It left the war as the strongest economic power and was becoming richer then ever before. Many prospered; bankers, investors, new industries and some fruit farmers. There were also many who suffered; black people, women,, poor, white people, trade unionists and some farmers.
